Is the machine rated for commercial use?Yes, the agria 9600 remote control mower has a robust heavy-duty design with sensor technology to protect against overload, auto shutoff if the blades experience strong resistance (e.g. hitting a stone) and software for easy error analysis and remote maintenance. All of the electronics are protected from dust, vibrations and moisture and are easily accessible in a central electrical switch box. The maintenance-friendly design means maintenance can be completed quickly at regular intervals.

From what distance can the operator be from the machine?The agria remote control mower can be operated from 300 meters away. It is recommended to stand at least 3 meters above and to the side of the machine. This means you will always have visibility of the machine and the area around it - preventing damage to the machine caused by obstacles while keeping yourself safe too. Also, the machine has an auto shut-down function that will shut off the machine immediately if the remote control unit is too far away from the machine. The user has the ability to control all device functions via remote control and is not exposed to any direct stresses such as vibrations, noise, or exhaust fumes.

Will the ground get damaged when the machine is turned around?No, the agria remote control mower runs on a caterpillar (crawler) track with non-slip AS profile field tread, is light weight at approximately 653kg (including fuel) and has a low ground pressure of only 0.18kg/cm². The machine can also mow both in forward and reverse, eliminating the need to turn around. Not only does this limit ground damage but it also speeds up the job.

Can the machine be operated in areas with other remote control devices? e.g. airportsYes, the agria remote control mower can be operated in the same area as other remote control devices. If the frequency is disturbed, the remote control unit automatically switches to another frequency in the frequency band. If no other frequency is found, the machine will switch off immediately. There is also an automatic shutdown as soon as the remote control unit and the operator are too far away from the machine.

What is the fuel consumption of the machine?The agria remote control mower has a total fuel capacity of 20 litres (2 x 10 litre tanks). The amount of fuel is sufficient for an operation of approx. 6 hours. The agria interchangeable tank system means you don't need to stop so often - the machine will draw fuel from one tank first, then switch over to the second tank. The fuel remaining level is always displayed on the screen of the remote control unit and a warning message will appear as soon as the contents of the second tank is running out, therefore, you should never run out of fuel.

What are the main safety features of the agria remote control mower?The agria 9600 remote control mower is fitted with... Protective Ejection Flaps which protect against objects, such as stones and wood, being thrown out. The flaps successfully passed the throwing body test and is certified by DLG. Electromagnetic Brakes are fitted to the electric motors ensuring maximum safety on steep slopes. The brakes can even be unlocked manually if needed. Two Emergency Stop Switches - one on the machine and the other on the remote control unit. These switches stops the machine immediately when they are actuated. An Interchangeable Tank System which is easy and safe to use, even on difficult terrain. The two 10 litre canisters can be easily removed, refueled and reconnected. This also means that the agria 9600 remote control mower can be used in water protection areas without any problems. Self-Protection Mechanisms - intelligent software continually communicates with sensors on the machine. Automatic shutdown will occur if the frequency changes and no other frequency is found, or if the operator is too far away from the remote control unit, or to prevent damage as soon as excessive resistance is detected e.g. hitting an obstacle. Automatic Shutdown Software will automatically switch to another frequency in the frequency band if the frequency is disturbed and if no other frequency is found the machine will shut down. Also, the machine will automatically shut down if the operator is too far away from the remote control unit. An Electrical Switch Box protects all electronics from dust, moisture and the rubber on the electrical switch box buffers against vibrations.

What are the features of the remote control unit?The Autec remote control unit has a range of approximately 300m and features include an engine on/off switch, a mower on/off switch, an engine speed switch, a cutting height adjustment switch, a joystick, 2.8" LCD color display (for menu control) and an emergency stop button. The software communicates continuously with sensors and automatically initiates protective measures to prevent damage. A warning notification will be displayed as soon as the machine moves to a critical slope level, needs to be refueled, or the blades will switch off as soon as strong resistance is detected e.g. hitting a stone. Thanks to the remote control unit, you can always be in a safe position. The user can operate all device functions via remote control unit and are not exposed to any direct stresses such as vibrations, dust, noise, or exhaust fumes.

In the event of a problem, the status and error messages of the machine can be saved via a USB diagnostic interface. Just email the text file to us and we will provide you with a solution, if possible, or the machine will need to be brought to our workshop where an agria approved & qualified mechanic will have a look at it.

Is training in safe operation of the machine available for my staff?Yes, training is provided to everyone who purchases a machine from us, including other staff who will be operating the machine. The training is only available in Auckland.
